Vehicle Description Provided By The Seller:
THIS IS A 1950 MACK FIRE TRUCK BUILT BY THE MACK ALLENTOWN PLANT FOR THE BUREAU OF FIRE IN ALLENTOWN. IT IS A MODEL 85 CLOSED CAB WITH A 707A THEMODYNE MODEL ENF 6 CYLINDER GAS ENGINE WITH 225 HORSE POWER. ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO THIS TRUCK WENT THROUGH ABOUT A $100,000 RESTORATION, ITS GOLD LEAF COST $15,000 ALONE. IT HAS A 750 GALLON PUMP, A 7000 WATT CUMMINS GENERATOR AND ALL WORKS AS IT SHOULD. THIS 1950 MACK IS ONE OF MY MOST PHOTOGRAPHED VEHICLE. IT'S GREAT FOR SHOWS, ADVERTISING, PARADES. EVERY YEAR THE MACK BRINGS SANTA TO OUR LITTLE TOWN. CERTAINLY A CONVERSATION PIECE. THE MACK IS REGISTERED AT THE MACK TRUCK HISTORICAL MUSEUM IN ALLENTOWN PA.
